Technology

The entire surface of the painting, including the edges, was covered with gesso and painted with acrylic paints. Finally, the work was sealed with a UV-protective varnish. The painting is signed front and back.

The artist says

This move went pretty well. The size of the house was taken into account and the timing was perfect. Next time, however, the snail will have to find something bigger—perhaps a coconut?

The FLAVOR series consists of a total of six equally sized motifs, each with a flavor that serves as the keynote. Sometimes the flavor is combined with the animal in the form of fruit, sometimes the animal itself merges with it.
